A company with a mission founded in February 2023, SAO Textile is the first French initiative to recycle used fishing nets into eco-responsible textiles. Based in Bessan, a small village in the Hérault department, this new-generation weaver harvests EPU (Engins de Pêche Usagés - used fishing gear) in Sète, the main fishing port in the Mediterranean and France's leading base for bluefin tuna fishing.
