Plastus is a biotech start up that converts organic waste into bioplastics (PHA) which is produced through the fermentation process of bacteria. The integration of PHA’s should lead to a decrease in fossil fuel use and significantly reduce carbon emissions. Plastus resin is the plastic of the future. Plastus resin is a 100% scalable, biodegradable bioplastic made from renewable carbon sources that don’t compete with food security. Plastus resin is made through the fermentation process of bacteria and has a shelf life of 18 months. It will only start to biodegrade when it’s in a microorganism rich environment.
