Algopack's mission is to replace all or part of petroleum-based plastic with algae, a renewable biomass that captures 960kg of CO2 per tonne and consumes no water when it grows. Algopack has also developed Sargasso-based formulas with the aim of finding a way to valorize these invasive brown algae that run aground, particularly in the Caribbean, releasing gases that are toxic to public health.
